| The reward program, cardholders earn one point for every dollar spent on general purchases and one point for every three miles flown on any airline. Points can be redeemed for various items or services. The maximum number of points that can be earned per year is 100,000 and points will expire in three years if the account has not been active during that time. In addition, points earned are compatible with most frequent flyer programs. This card has no annual fee and offers a reasonable interest rate for purchases and balance transfers. There is also an attractive 0% introductory rate available for balance transfers for up to 12 months of membership. | |

| This card offers no annual fee and a 0% introductory rate that applies to all transactions for six months (which is a rare benefit). Although it has a reasonable interest rate for a student card, there is a minimum cap of 20.24% for cash advances. So no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. Through the reward program, cardholders earn a rebate of 1% for purchases. The maximum amount of rebates that can be redeemed is $2,500 per vehicle and any unused rebates expire in 5 years. Rebates can also be used for payment of maintenance. | |
